Prerona’s journey begins in the quiet railway town of Kharagpur, India. Born into a middle class family, she grew up with a curious mind and a drive to do something meaningful. Her name, Prerona, which means inspiration, was a hint of the path she was destined to take.
Life seemed to be on a steady course when, in 2005, everything changed. A devastating accident left her with 80% burn injuries, a life-threatening situation that could have easily broken anyone’s spirit. But for Prerona, this wasn’t the end. It was a pause—a comma in her story. With immense strength, optimism, and an unshakable belief in herself, she rose from the ashes of that moment, determined to make her life a testament to resilience and purpose.
Her journey took her across borders, from leading multi-million-dollar businesses in the USA to mentoring professionals and organizations back home in India. Along the way, she discovered her true calling: helping people and businesses unlock their potential. This led to the creation of Inspire Excellence, an organization built to guide individuals and businesses toward growth, transformation, and success.
Prerona believes that challenges don’t define us—our responses to them do. Her life mantra, “Accidents are commas, not full stops,” became the foundation of her mission to inspire others to pause, reflect, and rebuild with renewed purpose.
Over nearly two decades, Prerona has trained thousands of professionals, worked with top organizations, and shared her insights as a certified member of the John Maxwell Team and a Global Career Counselor from UCLA. Her work is rooted in her ability to connect deeply with people and help them see possibilities beyond their limitations.
In 2019, she was honored with the title ‘Shakti’ (Women Power) for her contributions as a changemaker, but for Prerona, the real reward lies in seeing lives transformed and dreams realized. She continues to share her story and inspire others, reminding us all that life’s challenges aren’t endings—they’re the beginning of something greater.
